We’ll admit it: We’ve wanted chickenpox ever since that one cool girl showed up after the summer holidays with a fresh tan and perfectly septic skin.
And now, finally, we can fulfil our chickenpox-faced dream.
A new company called Pox Yourself has launched a Kickstarter to fund their exciting project: the first temporary pox tattoos.
They last two days (or possibly a lifetime), and are super easy to apply using sticky stencils and a formula you spread on top with a rollerball. We borrowed from the CDC a Petri dish of genuine chickenpox that’s applied on the stencils. It looks totally real because it is, sort of. If you want some space and need people to back the hell up, this a great tool. As you can imagine, they are totally taking off in Hollywood. Rumour has it Lady Gaga got so into it she was quarantined. So let’s just say maybe we need to call her Lady Haha.
Future products will include spray-on measles and a drink that gives you an authentic whooping cough.
